The Cambrian Alliance Group is today pleased to announce a new arrangement between the group and the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC). The new arrangement facilitates the provision of contractor purchasing data for products that are priced above Drug Tariff and is aimed at ensuring further price concessions are achieved each month where required.
A spokesperson for the PSNC said, “e-CASS now automates weekly reports to PSNC to report any generic purchases made by its members above Drug Tariff prices across a range of suppliers thus saving contractors valuable time from having to submit individual reports to PSNC each month. The weekly reports support PSNC’s work in securing price concessions each month”.
Nathan Wiltshire, Group CEO for Cambrian commented, “We are really pleased to be able to provide additional data to the PSNC on behalf of our 900+ e-CASS customers. Community pharmacy continues to be placed under huge financial strain and anything we can do to support fairer and more accurate reimbursement to avoid contractors dispensing at a loss is a key priority for us”.
The group’s buying platform, e-CASS, already automatically blocks orders that are placed above tariff, allowing contractors to exercise greater levels of control and influence with regards to how they manage orders.
